What is a Visualiser?

Visualiser Definition

A Visualiser has the ability to connect to virtually any projector, interactive whiteboard, PC monitor or TV (LCD / Plasma) to provide a striking visual element to teaching and learning, presentations and much, much more.

A visualiser captures images of text, 3D objects, transparencies and microscope slides and just about anything else you can think of. Instantly, you can show images to your audience, or record and save images to be used or recalled later.

AVerMedia Visualisers have a powerful zoom and focus (auto or manual) and are 720P HD Ready (1080P V355AF). An LED light module helps bring subjects to life in low light conditions. Various output connections such as DVI, VGA, s-video and composite gives users the ability to display documents, 3-D objects, microscopic images, x-rays, negatives and photos on a large screen TV, monitor or digital projector.

Important features of a visualiser

The following are important points to consider when selecting a Visualiser, but most importantly, take time to think how you intend to use your Visualiser and how it will benefit your students:

Camera Quality

The more pixels in your camera, the more defined your image will appear. Chose an AVerMedia Visualiser with a 5 mega pixel camera for the clearest, shapest image.

Software Functionality

Software allows you to maximise the potential of the Visualiser in your classroom.

All of our Visualisers come with user friendly AVer software that is compatible with your existing interactive whiteboard software and is TWAIN compliant for use with programs such as Word or PowerPoint.

Recording

All of our Visualisers allow you to capture and record images, either still or moving. Our V355AF Visualiser features a 'one-touch' record to USB stick function, allowing you to record upto 110 minutes of high quality video. A microphone is located in the camera head and an additional microphone can be plugged in to the base unit for optimum sound quality.

Ease of Use

Our Visualisers are simple to use. They all have user friendly control panels, as well as remote controls for quick, easy access of your favourite features.

Zoom

Zoom is a great feature for getting close up with objects and text. Our Visualisers come with between 16x to 160x zoom, dependant on product. AVerMedia Visualisers not only offer high powered zooms, but some models come with flexible gooseneck arms, allowing you to get even closer to your subject!

Where can I use a Visualiser?
